The China-Croatia Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Seminar on Green Transformation of Electric Power was held on September 14，co-organized by NCEPU’s State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources.

The opening remarks were given by Mr.DAI Gang, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology of China; Mr. Stasa SKENVIC, Director of European Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Education of Croatia;Mr. GAO Xiang, Director-General, China Science and Technology Exchange; Ms. Irena Martinvic KLARIC, Acting director of Croatian Science Foundation; Ms. BI Tianshu, Vice President of North China Electric Power University.The seminar was presided over by Mr.ZHAN G Jia,Vice Director of China Science and Technology Exchange and was attended by Mr. Bisera FABRIO, Chargé d'affaires of Croatian Embassy in China.

In her summary,President Bi Tianshu thanked the supervisors, sponsors and organizers for their support and the scholars and experts for their insights. She pointed out that the discussion from the academica and industry of the Chinese and Croatian power fields has promoted mutual understanding, friendship and consensus. The discussion has laid a solid foundation for the energy transition and technological innovation of both countries. She stronglybelieve that China and Croatia would make collaborative breakthroughs in energy transition and technological innovation, jointly moving towards carbon neutrality through the guidance and support of the governments.

The seminar focused on three topics for technical exchange, moderated by Professor Igor KUZLE of Zagreb University, Professor LIU Yongqian of North China Electric Power University and Professor KANG Chongqing of Tsinghua University.

This conference freatured12 presentations from scholars and entrepreneurs of Tsinghua University, North China Electric Power University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Renewable Energy Research Center, China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), State Grid Smart Internet of Vehicles Co.,Ltd, University of Zagreb, University of Split, Croatian Transmission, and Koncar Digital Ltd., KORE d.o.o.

The seminar incuded in-depth exchanges on the technological innovations including the dynamics of power systems with renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, demand response,microgrids potential for carbon neutral power systems and integrated multi-energy systems.

The cloud conference was held with Chinese-English simultaneous interpretating, and hosted over 200 attendees from the government, academia and industries.The supervisor of the event is theDepartment of international Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology of China and European Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Education, Croatia.
