The scientific research project “key technology and engineering application of heating unit peak load operation control”completed by Academician Liu Jizhen’s innovation team members Tian Liang, Niu Yuguang and the others passed the technical appraisement organized by the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE) on 17th October.
Academician Yue Guangxi from Tsinghua University acted as the director, the vice president Sun Rui of the Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute and Professor Shen Jiong from the Southeast University as the deputy directors of the appraisement committee.
The experts at the meeting spoke highly of the project and agreed that the project could notably increase the overall control level of extraction steam heating units and would be of great significance to alleviate the problem of wind and solar curtailment. The project in general has reached the advanced international level, and in particular the rapid load-change control technology with combined heat-and-power plant with an extraction-condensing steam turbine is at the international leading level.
In the end, Academician Yue Guangxi announced the appraisement comments, and Academician Liu Jizhen made closing remarks.
