报告内容简介(Abstract):

Argonne National Laboratory (www.anl.gov) outside Chicago is the first U.S. DOE national laboratory. Argonne has been engaged in power grid related research for over thirty years. In this talk, I will give an overview of the research activities on smart grid at Argonne. I will address various topics which span a multitude of areas including demand response, stochastic optimization for renewable integration, microgrids and cyber security. I will present the technical issues in implementing these technologies and corresponding potential solutions. I will also introduce various collaboration opportunities available at the lab such as student internships, postdoctoral appointments, visiting faculty positions and collaborative projects.
